NBA: Media: LeBron James decides between four teams
LeBron James can leave his contract this summer and become a Free Agent. According to media reports, there are four teams that James can imagine signing.
Apart from the Cavaliers, the insiders Kevin O’ Connor of The Ringer are the Lakers, Rockets and Sixers. These four teams are said to be on the King’s shortlist.
Although the 33-year-old owns a $35.6 million player option in Cleveland for the coming season, it is almost impossible to pull it out. So he becomes an Unrestricted Free Agent.
The Sixers and Lakers had caused quite a stir lately, as fans around Cleveland bought big billboards with which they wanted to lure LeBron to “their” franchise. James had felt “flattered” by this. The Lakers have long been regarded as a kind of favorite for a commitment by James, who is in LA. owns two properties.
The rumor about the rockets doesn’t come up for the first time. In December, USA Today reported that Houston was considering serious opportunities for a commitment. Rockets-Point-Guard Chris Paul is a good friend of James.
