MLB: Minnesota Twins sign up Pitcher Lance Lynn
The Minnesota Twins, the team of German outfielder Max Kepler, have further strengthened their pitching rotation. They signed a one-year contract with right-hander Lance Lynn for $12 million.
The deal is not yet official, as Lynn still has to pass his medical check, but as soon as this happens he will be the fourth newcomer to Minnesota since the start of the training camp. Also during this time, Twins right-handers Jake Odorizzi from the Rays, right-hander Anibal Sanchez from the Tigers and Designated Hitter Logan Morrison, who also worked for the Rays, won.
Lynn was named in the first round of the 2008 drafts by the St. Peter’s. Louis Cardinals drawn and played for the Cards from 2011 to 2017. In the previous year he came to a 11-8 balance sheet with a 3.43 ERA over 186 1/3 innings. He also came up with a 124 ERA+.
Lynn will now open the Twins season with Jose Berrios, Kyle Gibson and Odorizzi. Ervin Santana is expected to join at the end of April as soon as he recovers from a finger operation at the beginning of February.
