NFL: Muhammad Wilkerson changes to Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers have signed a one-year contract with Defensive End Muhammad Wilkerson. The ex-player of the New York Jets is said to be making five million dollars.

As the NFL Network reports, the contract will also include performance bonuses that could earn the 28-year-old up to three million dollars extra.

The jets had fired Wilkerson a few days ago and the Packers were his first free agent visit. Afterwards Wilkerson met with the Saints, Chiefs and Redskins before agreeing with the Packers.

In Green Bay Wilkerson will meet an old friend of his, as defensive coordinator Mike Pettine trained the D-Liner with Rex Ryan on the jets in 2011.

Wilkerson started 101 of 105 games for the jets and came up with 44.5 sacks and two exceptions (243 tackles). He was elected to the Pro Bowl in 2015 and was the first-round pick of the jets in 2011 (30. Pick total).
