MLB: The Cincinnati Reds extend with Third Baseman Eugenio Suarez

Cincinnati Reds have signed a new seven-year contract with Third Baseman Eugenio Suarez with an additional club option for the eighth year, reports Mark Sheldon of MLB.com.

Thanks to his new contract, Suarez is bound to the Reds until 2024, with the said Option Year in 2025.

The Venezuelan earns an impressive $66 million over seven years, with a team option for $15 million in the eighth year or an alternative buyout of $2 million last season.

Suarez had a strong 2017 season for the Reds, beating 0.260/0.367 on 26 home runs and 82 RBI.
