NBA: Ginobili: Leonard will not return

The San Antonio Spurs are still waiting for Kawhi Leonard to return. Veteran Manu Ginobili does not expect it to happen again this season.

“He won’t be back,” Ginobili said in the Spurs game against the Washington Wizards. At least I think so because it wouldn’t help to think he’ll help us soon.”

But we just have to fight without him and understand that we are on the field who we are. And that attitude shouldn’t change until he’s ready for the bouncing ball and on the court.”

Leonard has only played nine games this season (16.2 points, 4.7 rebounds). He’s suffering from a quadriceps injury that’s proving to be extremely tough. According to coach Greg Popovich, there is still no timetable for a return.

With a score of 42-30, the Spurs are in 6th place in the West and still have ten games in the Regular Season.
