NBA: Blazers: Harkless drops out injured in the final sprint

The Portland Trail Blazers will probably have to do without Maurice Harkless for longer. The forward must undergo arthroscopy of the knee. How long the Blazers’ starter on the three will be out of action is still unclear.

That’s what the blazers announced in a statement. According to this, Harkless some loose particles in the knee are removed, a schedule for a return the team has not yet published.

Harkless himself does not yet know when he will be back on the field, as he told Jason Quick of NBC Northwest. So it could be that he only has to pause ten days. In the worst case, however, the forward could be cancelled for up to six weeks.

After a weak start to the season, Harkless 2018 showed a clear improvement and recently played a major role in the Portland winning streak. In the last ten games, the forward scored 10.8 points on average and was really hot (56.7 per cent 3FG), especially from the triple line.
