MLB: Walk-Off Bunt – Atlanta Braves return spectacularly to New York Mets

The Atlanta Braves (12-8) made a spectacular comeback against the New York Mets (14-6) on Saturday. Despite a 3-0 deficit at the start of the eighth inning, the men from Gergia fought back and scored the decisive run with a spectacular colour.

“This is a great victory for our club,” said Braves manager Brian Snitker. “Beating this team this way should definitely give us confidence.”

After Freddie Freeman and Ender Inciarte shortened to 2:3 in the eighth section, Dansby Swanson equalised 3:3 in the final sprint thanks to a triple by Johan Camargo. Inciarte walked back to the record and knew what to expect against Mets-Closer Jeurys Familia.

“He’s a sinker type,” Inciarte described a typical pitch of his opponent. “I remembered the last time I scored a Sacrafice Bunt against him – my bat broke. I’ve seen a lot of his pitches.”

With twelve wins and eight defeats, the Braves currently lie third in the East NL, two games behind the Mets and one behind the Philadelphia Phillies. The four-match series against the division rivals from New York will end on Sunday.
