Ice Hockey: Germany-Denmark: TV, Livestream, Liveticker

After a bumpy world championship preparation, the German national ice hockey team will face host Denmark in their first game on Friday, 4 May 2018 (8.15 pm live on DAZN and in the live ticker). SPOX gives you all the information you need to broadcast on TV, the Internet and the live ticker.

In preparation, the DEB team had already lost 3:4 against Denmark. One goal and two drafts from NHL star Leon Draisaitl were not enough to beat the Danes. Nevertheless, Marco Sturm’s team enters the match as the favourite.

Bully of the game is on Friday, May 4, 2018, at 8.15 pm. The venue is the Jyske Bank Boxen Arena in Herning, which can accommodate up to 15,000 visitors.

The streaming portal DAZN broadcasts the game live in German-speaking countries. The “Netflix des Sports” also features many top-class football competitions such as the Premier League, Primera Division, Ligue 1 and Serie A. DAZN access costs €9.99 per month, the first month being free of charge. Click here to register.

In addition, Sport1 has also secured the rights for a total of 36 games and shows the game on free TV. The broadcast with presenter Sascha Bandermann, commentator Basti Schwele and expert Rick Goldmann starts at 8 pm. In addition, the game also runs on Sport1’s free live stream.

If you are unable to watch the game in moving images, SPOX will provide a live ticker to keep you informed about the most important events.

After the surprising second place at the Olympics, expectations of the German team have risen significantly.

However, due to the cancellations of players such as Christian Ehrhoff, Marcel Goc, Patrick Reimer and Danny from the Birches, only ten players from the 25-man squad of Olympia are left.

It is therefore unlikely that they will reach the final again, but progress in the group stage is the minimum goal. With Korbinian Holzer (Anaheim Ducks), Dennis Seidenberg (New York Islanders) and Leon Draisaitl (Edmonton Oilers) three NHL professionals are available.

In addition to Denmark, Marco Sturm’s team will play against the USA, Canada, Latvia, Finland, Korea and Norway.

After the Denmark game, the DEB team has a day off before they play Norway and the USA in turn. Although not all stars are on board with the Americans, the squad consists almost exclusively of NHL professionals.

A victory two days later against the South Koreans, who will be at the World Cup for the very first time, seems much more realistic. The South Koreans scored only one goal in the group stage of the home Olympics in Pyeongchang and were eliminated last.

After two days of recovery, Germany should have laid the foundation with a win over Latvia to be able to play free against Finland and Canada in the last two games.

Of the top four places to progress, two have realistically already been awarded to the USA and Canada. South Korea are unlikely to play a major role, so three wins over Denmark, Norway, Finland and Latvia should be enough to reach the quarter-finals.
