NBA: Combine-List released: Wagner on board
On Friday the complete list of all participants in the NBA Draft Combine 2018 was sent to all 30 NBA teams. Yahoo! Sports published this list, which includes Moritz Wagner.
The Combine offers college and international players the opportunity to present themselves to coaches, managers and scouts over several days with various interviews, drills, medical tests and measurements. The event will take place in Chicago from May 16 to 20 and is considered very important for the draft position.
Only invited players can participate in the Combine. There are a total of 69 players on the list, with Wagner being the only German. The Big Man had declared after taking part in the NCAA Championship Game in early April that he would finish his college career and sign up for the draft after three years in Michigan.
The alleged biggest names to be in Chicago are likely lottery picks Trae Young (Oklahoma), Collin Sexton (Alabama), Marvin Bagley (Duke), Mohamed Bamba (Texas) and Michael Porter (Missouri).
However, DeAndre Ayton (Arizona) and Luka Doncic (Real Madrid), who are regarded as top favourites on the No.1 pick, will not be there – although Slovenian Doncic is currently still active in the EuroLeague playoffs with Real. Dzanan Musa (Cedevita) has also cancelled his participation.
The draft will take place on June 21 at the Barclays Center in New York.
