MLB: Lazarett ever larger – Tigers set Candelario on Disabled List

The Detroit Tigers have put Jeimar Candelario on the Disabled List. The Third Baseman suffers from tendinitis in the left wrist. He joins numerous other well-known players in the Tigers’ military hospital.

Candelario leads his team with five home runs and 16 RBI. Besides Candelario, Miguel Cabrera, Leonys Martin, Jordan Zimmermann, Alex Wilson and Daniel Norris are already on the DL.

Candelario’s place in the squad is initially taken by Infielder Dawel Lugo, who was ordered to Detroit by Triple-A Toledo. Lugo has so far beaten .284 with a home run and twelve RBI for Toledo. It’ll be his major league debut.

On Monday in the game against the Cleveland Indians (6:3 Tigers) Outfielder Nicholas Castellanos was also missing with a finger injury on his left hand. He was hit in the finger by a pitch against Seattle on Saturday.

All results of the night you will find in our new MLB Scoreboard.
