NBA: Kobe on GOAT discussion: “Cannot be finalized”
Lakers legend Kobe Bryant spoke after LeBron James’ historic appearance in Game 7 about the eternal debate about the best basketball player of all time. According to him, this discussion could never be decided definitively, but nor did it have to be.
“We can celebrate one without killing the other. I love what he does. Don’t discuss what can’t be decided definitively,” Bryant wrote on Twitter after James reached his eighth consecutive finals with the Cavaliers.
To this tweet he added the hashtags #enjoymy5 #enjoymj6 and #enjoblbjquest, alluding to his five NBA titles, Jordan’s six titles and James’ still unfinished trophy collection.
Kobe Bryant played for the Los Angeles Lakers from 1996 to 2016, winning the NBA finals from 2000 to 2002 and 2009, 2010. In addition, the Shooting Guard was once elected MVP and twice finals MVP, and 18 times appointed to the All-Star team.
