NBA: Andre Iguoldala makes progress and wants to play in the finals
Andre Iguodala could actually still play in the finals for the Golden State Warriors. The forward is said to be painless and plans to return to the court in the next few days.
This is reported by Chris Haynes of ESPN. Iguodala was able to complete a full workout at the weekend and was able to sprint for the first time since his knee injury. Whether it will be enough for Iggy for game 3 (Thursday, 3 o’clock live on DAZN) is still unclear.
“I’m aiming for Game 3 in Cleveland, but I actually wanted to be in Game 2,” Iguodala told ESPN. “We’ll just have to wait and see.” Even without the final MVP, the Warriors won their two home games and now want to make it a short series.
Whether with or without the forward, coach Steve Kerr could not say either, although he exuded optimism. “I believe that Andre will still play in this series,” Kerr explained. “He’s a little well, but of course we don’t know anything specific.”
Iguodala injured his knee on the show with the Houston Rockets when he collided with James Harden on a drive in game 3. The forward then missed in the following six games.
