NBA: Media: Warriors players angry at Perkins after action against Curry
I hear the Golden State Warriors are mad at Kendrick Perkins. The inactive Cavs-Center hadn’t moved his legs on the bench and had almost brought Stephen Curry down by the end of the third quarter. I hear the champion’s players didn’t like that.
According to Chris Haynes of ESPN, several Warriors games are said to have complained that this was an unnecessary and dangerous action. It was also the reason why Curry approached the center verbally in front of the Cavs Bank.
The Warriors’ concern was that Curry might have buckled, which would have been the worst case due to the injury history of the double MVP. Curry tried a wild buzzer beater at the end of the third quarter and moved backwards. So he almost fell over Perkins, who made no preparations to move.
Curry had little to say after the game. “I’m not getting involved. No comment,” was the game maker’s brief answer. But it seemed to motivate Curry. In the fourth quarter, he scored 16 points and scored all five of his threesomes, giving the Warriors their second victory in the series in the second game.
