NBA: Durant again awarded as final MVP
Kevin Durant has won the final MVP trophy for the second time in a row. The forward outdid his colleague Stephen Curry, who was never able to win the coveted trophy. KD had no sympathy, but at the same time played down the importance of the award.
“Is that really important,” Durant replied to the question of how he felt that Curry could not win the final MVP again. “He’s won three championships, two in a row.”
Durant won the race for the final MVP with 7:4 against Curry, but was a bit surprised about the election afterwards. “I didn’t expect this, I just wanted to win. But I also know that Steph doesn’t care about such things. We both played great basketball.”
Durant won the Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award for the second time in a row. The Swingman made 28.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 7.5 assists in the Golden State Warriors’ sweep over the Cleveland Cavaliers with odds of 52.6 percent from the field and 40.9 percent from downtown.
