NBA: Wade on James’ future: “Don’t think it’s a basketball decision”
James’ Banana-Boat-Buddy and former team member Dwayne Wade spoke in an interview with Fox Sports Radio about his own future and that of the King. He doesn’t think LeBron’s decision will have anything to do with basketball.
“I don’t think it’s a basketball thing,” said Wade Fox Sports Radio. “He has shown this year that he can make it to the finals, no matter the circumstances. So I don’t think it will be a basketball decision for him under the motto’Oh, let me look for a team with three All-Stars’. I think at this point in his career it’s more of a lifestyle thing. Where does my family feel most comfortable? Where will I be happiest? Because he plays such great basketball, he can take on anyone.”
The Shooing Guard also said a few words about his own future. “I’ve gotten to this point where when I say I’m coming back to play basketball, of course I want to do it in Miami.” But even The Flash slowly feels the age gnawing at him. “I used to need a dribble to get past the defender, then it was two and then three. Everything’s started to change.”
Wade signed a contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers at the end of September last year. However, the Cavs’ front officer blew up the roster completely shortly before the end of the trade deadline and Wade was shipped back to Miami for a two-round pick.
