NFL: Cowboys: Shooting star suspended again
The Dallas Cowboys have to contest the start of the coming season without one of their defense starters: David Irving was banned from the first four matches of the Regular Season.
NFL network insider Ian Rapoport announced late Friday night. Accordingly, the Pass-Rusher has violated NFL rules on banned substances. The cowboys confirmed the lockdown a little later.
Irving is now allowed to participate in all training sessions and also in the preseason games. However, he will not be allowed to return to the active squad until October 1.
The 24-year-old had already been suspended for the first four matches of last season because he had attracted attention during a performance-enhancing test. In addition, he had to contend with the accusation of domestic violence, which has since been put on record.
Irving showed very promising beginnings at times in 2017, in eight games he got seven sacks – before the season ended prematurely for him due to a concussion. There will now be even more on DeMarcus Lawrence’s shoulders in the cowboys’ already sparse defensive line.
