NBA: Media: Atlanta Hawks could trade Dennis Schröder for draft

The Atlanta Hawks could trade Dennis Schröder for a draft. According to media reports, the German international is available to other teams if a suitable offer is made. However, there are doubts within the league about the setting of the point guard.

This is reported by Jeremy Woo of Sports Illustrated. So the Hawks would listen to anything if other teams were interested in Schröder. However, the market for the German should not be particularly large, since other teams have “concerns about the attitude” of the guard. In addition, Schröder is still entitled to 46 million dollars over the next three years.

The 24-year-old played the best season of his career, averaging 19.4 points and 6.2 assists per game. However, the German international was not really eiffcient: from the field he hit only 43 percent of his litters, from the perimeter it was even only 29 percent.

Schröder would probably be suitable for a rebuild, but his controversial press conference and his activities on social media, when he deleted all references to the Hawks, are said to have pissed off the franchise.

Schröder could now serve as an asset for the Hawks to trade upwards with their 19, 30 and 34 picks. The Clippers (Pick 12 and 13) and the Nuggets (Pick 14) are considered potential trade partners. Atlanta also holds the third pick. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Luka Doncic of Real Madrid is supposed to be the favorite of the front office.
