NBA: NBA Awards: Dwane Casey is Coach of the Year

Dwane Casey, former coach of the Toronto Raptors, was named Coach of the Year at the NBA Award Show. He beat Brad Stevens and Quin Snyder.

Casey had led his Raptors to the best record in franchise history and won the Top Seed of the Eastern Conference with 59 wins. He has now received an award for this.

Brad Stevens (Boston Celtics) and Quin Snyder (Utah Jazz) got nothing. They had made it into the top 3 with Casey.

Curious: Casey’s Raptors were eliminated by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second playoff round, so he was fired. In the coming season he will coach the Detroit Pistons.
