NBA: Suns: Booker probably gets a mega contract
Devin Booker will receive a maximum contract from Phoenix Sun’s media reports. This means that the franchise from Arizona will be maintained in the long term.
ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the contract negotiations between Booker and the Suns are about to be concluded. Booker will extend his contract for five years and 158 million dollars, which is the maximum pay for a player with experience.
Booker was dragged to 13th place in the draft in 2015 and developed rapidly afterwards. The 21-year-old played 24.9 points and 4.7 assists in 34.5 minutes last season. His pre-season game against the Boston Celtics, when he scored 70 points, is also unforgotten.
According to the report, the deal will be announced immediately after the end of the moratorium on Saturday. Together with the current No.1 pick DeAndre Ayton and wingman Josh Jackson (No.4 pick 2017), Booker will lead the franchise into a successful future.
