NBA: Media: Ball must be operated on
Lonzo Ball of the Los Angeles Lakers is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday, ESPN reports. The point guard’s under the knife due to a broken meniscus.
According to the report, Ball decided to take this step after a good month of reflection. In the meantime, the Guard worked in the weight room and tried to build muscles. Meanwhile Ball also started basketball again, but had to stop quickly.
Still during the week Lakers-GM Rob Pelinka refused an answer to the question whether Ball has to be operated on promptly. At the same time, the manager assumed that the Big Baller would be fit for the start of the season.
“The good thing is that Ball will be 100 percent fit after all the tests at the start of the training camp,” explained Pelinka.
Ball had to fight several injuries during his rookie season. The Point Guard played just 52 games with an average of 10.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 7.2 assists.
