Tour de France: Stage 16: Watch live today on TV, live stream and live ticker
After yesterday’s rest day, the week of the decision begins in the Pyrenees today. For the strong climbers there is now one of the last chances to make up ground in the overall standings. Here you can get all information about the stage and the transmission on TV and live stream.
On the 15th stage the Dane Magnus Cort Nielsen celebrates his first stage victory at the Tour. In the sprint he clearly prevailed in the breakaway group around Jon Izagirre Insausti and Bauke Mollema.
After yesterday’s rest day the ride in the Pyrenees begins today. The stage begins in Carcassonne and ends in Bagneres-de-Luchon, 218 kilometres away. Five mountain classifications are on schedule, two of them heavy mountains of the first category.
Especially the strong climbers will once again show all their skills today and Thomas’ pursuers will also have to attack. After stage 16, there are only four more to go before the final trip to Paris takes place on Sunday. If you want to attack again in the overall standings, you have to make up some seconds to the overall leader today.
Today’s stage starts at 11.30 a.m. The first drivers are expected to cross the finish line between 4.45 pm and 5.40 pm. One will be on air as usual from the start of the stage at 11.20 a.m. in the live stream, the ARD will then broadcast the end from 4.05 p.m. onwards.
Eurosport will also be showing the entire race. Here the TV broadcast begins at 11.25 a.m., optionally also in a paid live stream.
You can also follow the entire stage in the LIVETICKER on SPOX.
For the third time in a row there have been no changes to the jerseys. Especially Peter Sagan will hardly be able to take the green jersey and also Jean Alaphillipe seems to be the big favourite for the victory of the mountain classification.
The overall classification of this year’s tour has already taken on clear forms in the Alps. Geraint Thomas leads ahead of his team captain and tour favourite Chris Froome. In addition, world champion Peter Sagan in particular delivered an outstanding performance. The Slovakian has already taken three stage victories. Thomas, Dylan Groenewegen and Fernando Gaviria each won twice.
