NBA: Kawhi passes medical check – no team USA

Kawhi Leonard passed the medical check in Toronto. Nevertheless, the Forward will miss the Mini Camp of Team USA in Las Vegas.

This is reported by Brian Windhorst and Chris Haynes of ESPN. Besides Leonard, Danny Green is said to have passed the medical check, he was part of the trade that brought Kawhi to Toronto. Green last explained in a podcast that he had been dragging himself around with a groin injury for some time.

Leonard’s health also gave him a few question marks, he last played for the Spurs on 13 January and suffered from a mysterious quadriceps injury.

So it’s not surprising that Leonard has cancelled his participation in Team USA’s Mini Camp in Las Vegas, even though there have been rumours that the forward wants to present himself there. Coach of the camp is Leonard’s ex-coach in San Antonio, Gregg Popovich.
