Monday Night RAW has long been considered one of WWE’s flagships. But what exactly is this all about? Learn all about the history, mode and superstars of the successful wrestling show.

Monday Night RAW is a wrestling event that is broadcast every Monday on the USA Network channel. Every week the event offers a three-hour show in which emotional actions are staged in the catacombs or in front of the arenas in addition to the fights.

Nevertheless, of course, most of the time the fights are in the foreground. With the 2016 reintroduced’Roster Split’ only the superstars, who also belong to RAW and not to the second big department’Smackdown’, fight at the RAW events.

Monday Night RAW was first broadcast on the USA Network channel on January 11, 1993 and ran every Monday. No other wrestling show appeared weekly at that time, which is one of the reasons for the ongoing success. Especially in the spotlight, however, the show played itself through a confrontation with the up to then dominant show’Monday Nitro’ of the competitor association’WCW’.

After it was bought up, however, interest in RAW declined due to a lack of serious competition. To restore these, the WWE’Smackdown’ gave more and more the image of a competitive show, so that the fans have the feeling of a duel again.

RAW offers a total of five championships. However, the current title holders will not be played in a special tournament with a fixed mode, instead it is mainly a matter of recommending oneself for duels against the current title holders. The Commissioner (currently Stephanie McMahon) and the General Manager (Kurt Angle) decide who fights whom at RAW.

Here, too, WWE is always good for surprises to entertain the audience. Fixed patterns and boredom would frighten away the fans, which is why Hollywood writers are hired again and again to bring new impetus to the events.

RAW currently has 54 superstars under contract. Among the best known are Big Show, Kane, Braun Strowman, Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins or Roman Reigns. The current champions (as of 25.07.2018):
