MLB: Clevelands Fixer fails again longer

The Cleveland Indians have put super-reliever Andrew Miller back on the Disabled List. The “junkie” got it on the shoulder. This is his third serious injury this season.

Miller had an external impingement on his left shoulder. During his previous two DL trips this year, he was first plagued by the large hamstring muscle and then an inflammation in his right knee.

Miller is 2-3 this year with a 3.38 ERA in 27 missions. Since his return from the DL on August 3, he has had ten missions.

The Indians are currently cautiously assuming that Miller will be fit again by the post-season. To replace him in the meantime, the Indians had already signed Brad Hand and Adam Cimber before the trade deadline at the end of July.

Tyler Olson of Triple-A Columbus was activated to take Miller’s place in the team’s active squad.
