NFL: Further quarterback trades planned

Brett Hundley and Teddy Bridgewater’s trades may not have been the last backup quarterback trades the NFL sees before the start of the regular season. Several backups are obviously trade candidates.

This is reported by NFL network insider Ian Rapoport. According to this, Josh Dobbs of the Steelers and Arizona’s Mike Glennon, among others, should arouse concrete trade interest before the final squad cuts take place.

Glennon was only hired by the Cardinals in this year’s Free Agency, initially as a backup behind Sam Bradford. But then Arizona managed to draft the quarterback of the future in the draft in Josh Rosen, which quickly made Glennon number 3.

Several teams are mentioned in the report as possible interested parties: Among others, the Panthers, Dolphins, Lions, Texans, Raiders and possibly also the Broncos are considered potential candidates. Even a team like Dallas could still reach out behind Dak Prescott for a safer backup solution.
