The signs for a trade by superstar pass rusher Khalil Mack are getting better. According to media reports, the Oakland Raiders are weighing up offers for the unhappy 27-year-old.

There is a very “robust” market for the Star Defender, NFL’s Ian Rapoport explained on Friday. And the Raiders don’t seem disinclined, as negotiations between the team and the Defender continue to stagnate. This is how Oakland Rapoport listens to offers and weighs them up.

Mack recently suspended the Raiders’ entire training camp and did not play in a single preseason game. The 27-year-old would earn $13.8 million in his final year of contract in 2018, but he is desperate for a new working paper similar to the one Aaron Donald last signed.

Mack has been one of the best defensive players in the league since he was drafted by the Raiders in 2014. In the past season he collected 78 tackles and 10.5 sacks.

One of the biggest prospects for Mack seems to be the Cleveland Browns, who according to media reports could contact the Raiders on Saturday about a trade. If the Raiders lose their strongest defensive link, difficult times are in store for an already fragile unit.
