MLB: Kepler colleague transported away with leg injury

Miguel Sano of the Minnesota Twins had to be taken off the field in second base after an unfortunate slide at Houston Astros (5-2 Houston). However, investigations gave a slight all-clear.

At a wild pitch in the second inning Sano ran from the first base to the second and arrived there very unfavorably. He remained lying and was visibly in pain on his left leg. X-rays came back negative, though. First diagnosis: A bruise.

Only last November Sano was put a pole into this leg after suffering a stress reaction after a foul ball in August.

After minutes of treatment, Sano was finally taken away in a kart. Tyler Austin finally replaced him as a pinch runner.
