NFL: Seahawks: Baldwin must be out longer

The Seattle Seahawks will probably have to do without Doug Baldwin for several weeks. This was confirmed by Head Coach Pete Carroll on Tuesday.

Baldwin had already struggled with injury problems in the preseason, but in the opening game against Denver he then had to leave with a knee injury. Carroll did not want to confirm the exact injury, but explained on Tuesday that Baldwin could be missing “about two weeks”.

The team will now look at its most important receiver “day by day and then we will see what happens. It could be two weeks, we’ll see. He’s tough to take, but we’ll have to wait.”

As a result, the Seahawks Wide Receivers promoted Keenan Reynolds from the Practice Squad to the active squad, Safety Shalom Luani was released in return. Seattle is very thin on the receiver position without Baldwin: Tyler Lockett and Jaron Brown and Brandon Marshall would be the options, along with Reynolds and last year’s seven-round pick David Moore.
