Ice hockey: Caps win their opening hit against Linz

The Vienna Capitals won the opening hit of the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League (EBEL) at the Black Wings Linz after Penalty Shooting 3:2. Last season’s finalist, Red Bull Salzburg, won the evening’s second hit 4-2.

Villacher SV won at home against Znojmo in extra time with 4:3 and Dornbirn also won in Innsbruck after extra time with the same result.
