NBA: Space Jam 2 with LeBron approaches
Space Jam was a cult movie in the nineties with Michael Jordan in the leading role and is still very popular today. Now LeBron James should awaken old memories and play the leading role in the sequel.
The production company SpringHill Entertainment now posted a picture on Twitter showing a dressing room with several lockers. There you can see several free places reserved for LeBron James, the directors Ryan Coogler as well as Terence Nance and Bugs Bunny.
“The collaboration is so much more than just bringing me and the Looney Tunes together for a movie,” James told the Hollywood reporter. “It’s much bigger. I’d love to show the kids and teens how they can feel if they don’t give up their dreams.”
The fact that Coogler is now also part of the production can be regarded as a real coup. He was last involved in Black Panther or Creed. “I loved his vision for Black Panther,” enthused LeBron. “When I was little, there were no black superheroes. But it’s fantastic that Ryan did it.”
The first Space Jam was released in 1996 and raised around $250 million worldwide. Today it is still considered one of the best-known basketball films of all time.
