NBA: LeBron reacts to Trump-Tweets

In August, US President Donald Trump challenged the intelligence of LeBron James in a tweet. At the time, there was no news of the Los Angeles Lakers superstar, but now he was responding to Trump’s comments.

“What bothers me is the fact that he even has the time to do it,” James told The Hollywood Reporter to the Trump-Tweets about his person. “He has the most powerful job in the world. And you really have time to comment on me?”

Following an interview by CNN reporter Don Lemon with LBJ, Trump tweeted: “LeBron James has just been interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He managed to make LeBron look smart, which is not easy.”

When asked if it bothered him that the president called him stupid, James had a short answer ready: “No, because I’m not stupid.”

“It’s like when someone says I can’t play basketball. That just doesn’t bother me,” LeBron continues. The new member of the Los Angeles Lakers has repeatedly commented on political and social issues in recent years, often criticizing the incumbent US president.

James also received praise for this from Lakers President Magic Johnson: “He is a master at using his platform. He doesn’t want the country taking a step back. He doesn’t want racism to divide the country.”
