Basketball: Bamberg wins Derby – Alba and Oldenburg distribute slaps in the face

Alba Berlin started the new Bundesliga season with a gala performance, while Brose Bamberg had a hard time. The Albatrosses won against Science City Jena with 112:55 (52:31) and underlined their ambitions to stand up to the champions Bayern Munich in the title race. On Friday, the people of Munich had worked their way to an 83:77 at ratiopharm Ulm.

The Bamberger had to tremble in the Frankenderby with s’Oliver Würzburg likewise for a long time, before the 84:80 (39:37) – success was certain. It was only in the last quarter that the nine-time German champion gradually managed to break away, but without making a decisive move.
