NHL: Kahun makes NHL debut – Greiss grandiose
Dominik Kahun celebrated a successful debut in the NHL at the Chicago Blackhawks. Kahun was in the 4:3 victory after extra time at the Ottawa Senators about 13 minutes to use. Patrick Kane scored the decisive goal for the visitors after 38 seconds of extra time.
Goalie Thomas Greiss also celebrated a victory in extra time with the New York Islanders. The goalkeeper showed an excellent performance at the 2:1 after overtime of the Islanders at the Carolina Hurricanes and reaped after 45 Saves praise from the new coach Barry defiance.
“He gave us a chance today. I was hoping he’d even make a shutout. He played so well,” says Trotz. Josh Bailey scored 2-1 for New York. Striker Tom Kühnhackl was not a member of the Islanders squad.
Goalie Semjon Warlamow took the lead over Philipp Grubauer in the Colorado Avalanche’s 4-1 win against Minnesota Wild. Grubauer fights for his regular place in the goal after his move from Stanley Cup winner Washington Capitals to Denver.
In addition, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals fought a fierce battle. In extra time it was Kris Letang who scored the 7-6 winning goal for the Pens.
