NBA: DS17 celebrates first Thunder victory – Dubs in outstanding form

Dennis Schröder celebrates his first victory with the Oklahoma City Thunder after a good performance. Meanwhile the Golden State Warriors are shooting the Kings out of the hall during their guest performance in Seattle – especially Kevin Durant towers above them at his old place of work. The Knicks beat the Pelicans again and top rookie Deandre Ayton convinces.

Clear business in Orlando. Led by an excellent Aaron Gordon, who dropped 10 of his 12 throws out of the field and scored 29 points and 8 rebounds, the Magic Flamengo swept out of the hall.

Nikola Vucevic also showed a strong performance. The center contributed 21 points and 7 rebounds. Mo Bamba scored 12 points (5/7 FG), 9 rebounds and 4 blocks in 19 minutes. Not surprisingly Orlando dominated the zone thanks to this trio (52:20 points in the paint), so the Magic had no problems with the Brazilians, who were inferior in all aspects.

The EX-NBA-Center Anderson Varejao still held a double against (14 points, 12 rebounds), while Guard Marcus Souza led his team with 19 points. But this did little to change the clear clap of the hand.

Even without Kawhi Leonard, Toronto celebrated a clear blowout victory over the Australians. The newcomers from the Spurs were spared, instead Norman Powell (21 points), Pascal Siakam (19, 6 rebounds) and Delon Wright (15.6 rebounds, 5 assists) jumped strongly into the breach.

The Raptors – who also waived Kyle Lowry, O.G. Anunoby, C.J. Miles and Fred VanVleet in addition to Kawhi – kept Melbourne out of the field at 34.5 per cent and decisively outperformed Melbourne with an outstanding third quarter (44:19). Among the guests, Chris Goulding and Casper Ware were the best throwers with 17 points each.

John Wall caught a relatively used evening (9 points, 9 assists, 4/12 FG, 0/5 threesome). But his colleagues caught him and provided for the first Preseason success of the Wizards. Especially Bradley Beal acted strong.

The Shooting Guard also had problems with his distance throw (3/11 threes), but Beal still set 20 points and five rebounds and was the best scorer of his team. In addition to Beal, five other Wizards scored double-digit points, newcomer Jeff Green convinced with 15 points (5/7 FG).

On the Heat side, too, there was a balanced team of seven players with double-digit points, the best man being Justise Winslow, who scored 17 points. Yante Maten also scored 17 points, while Rodney McGruder as the starting shooting guard once again convinced with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
