NBA: Media: Irving wants to guide AD to the Celtics
Shortly after Kyrie Irving announced his intention to extend his contract with Boston Celtics, the Point Guard apparently contacted Anthony Davis.
As Jay King of The Athletic reports, Irving talked to the Big Man of the New Orleans Pelicans about the possibility of running together for the Celtics in the future.
However, Davis is still under contract with the Pelicans for another three years until 2021, and what Davis thinks of this idea has not leaked out.
In February, however, Jared Weiss of USA Today reported that the Celtics had their eye on Davis and would like to bring the Power Forward to Boston sooner or later.
Davis averaged 28.1 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game last season. In the MVP voting he landed it 2017/18 on the third place.
