NBA: Spurs: Point Guard seriously injured at the knee
Another bad injury at the San Antonio Spurs! In the preseason game against the Rockets Dejounte Murray injured his knee. The point guard then had to leave the game.
When Murray tried to jump to the layup on a drive to the basket, he kneeled away with his right knee and fell to the ground with his face painfully distorted. Immediately several Spurs trainers rushed to the rescue.
After a short treatment, the 22-year-old was at least able to stand up again and leave the parquet floor on his own. He did not need a wheelchair that the Spurs had specially organized.
Now, according to Michael C. Wright of ESPN, Murray is to undergo an MRI examination on Monday to make an exact diagnosis possible.
If Murray fails for a longer time, it would be the second bitter loss of the spurs in the preseason. At the weekend it became known that rookie Lonnie Walker IV will be absent for about six to eight weeks due to a meniscus rupture.
