Brose Bamberg has started his premiere season in the Basketball Champions League (from this season live on DAZN) with a surprising defeat. The MHP giants Ludwigsburg also lost their opening game.

Bamberg lost to the Spanish club Montakit Fuenlabrada with 88:89 (44:44). Two seconds before the final siren, the Mexican Francisco Cruz sunk the decisive trio for the visitors. Tyrese Rice outperformed the team of coach Ainars Bagatskis with 33 points and eight assists.

The MHP giant Ludwigsburg also failed in its first attempt. Coach John Patrick’s team lost in Turkey at Banvit BK 76:89 (39:38). Best Ludwigsburg player was the Canadian national player Aaron Best with 17 points. The US American Jordan Morgan convinced the Turks with 27 points.
