NBA: After riots: CP3, Rondo & Ingram disabled
After the wild scenes in the game between Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets, the NBA has imposed suspensions on Chris Paul, Rajon Rondo and Brandon Ingram. The league announced this in an official press release.
So it’s Ingram who gets it hardest. The Lakers forward is suspended for four games, while Rondo is suspended for three games and Paul for two.
Ingram is accused of having contributed significantly to the escalation of the scene after he returned to the fray in the full sprint and punched a fist in the direction of CP3. Moreover, according to Kiki VanDeWeghe, the League’s Vice President of Basketball Operations, he is said to have approached a referee in a “hostile manner”.
Rondo is considered by those responsible to have proven that he spat on Paul, and he also struck several shots against Rockets-Guard. The NBA explains the suspension of two games for CP3 by the fact that Paul grabbed Rondo’s face and also participated in the brawl.
This means that Paul is already out of the Houston Rockets game against the Los Angeles Clippers in the night from Sunday to Monday. For Rondo and Ingram, the respective suspensions begin with the Lakers’ match against the Spurs in the night from Monday to Tuesday.
