NFL: Patriots rookie with knee injury out early
Running Back Sony Michel suffered a knee injury in Week 7 of the NFL season. The rookie had to leave the New England Patriots game with the Chicago Bears in the first half.
Michel was held at the ankle during a run, turned once around his own axis and finally brought to the ground. His lower leg was trapped under a defender, causing him to twist his knee. During the action he also lost a fumble, which the Bears conquered.
He then limped off the field with the help of carers and was finally driven into the cabin. Meanwhile, it is still unclear how badly Michel has been injured.
At first it was said that Michael’s return would be “questionable”, but a little later the Patriots announced that he would be cancelled for the rest of the game.
Michel was the 31st pick in this year’s draft from the University of Georgia and has run for 422 yards and four touchdowns so far.
