Nuggets: Barton is out for several weeks

After Will Barton injured his hip in the match against the Suns on Saturday, the forward will probably be out for five to six weeks. This is reported by Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

Accordingly, Barton will even have to undergo an operation on Tuesday and will therefore not be available for a longer period of time.

Barton already missed the following match against the Warriors on Monday due to injury, the Nuggets had initially announced that it was a strain on the hip.

The small forward went down against Phoenix in the third quarter following a drive to the basket and immediately grabbed his right hip. Then Barton had to leave the game on a stretcher.

The 27-year-old, who had signed a contract extension of four years and 53 million dollars in Denver last summer, made a strong start to the season with an average of 16.5 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
