NBA: Zipser: “No trust in the Bulls doctors.”
Paul Zipser has criticized the medical care of the Chicago Bulls after persistent injury problems. “In the end, there was virtually no trust left in the Bulls doctors,” the 24-year-old told Sport Bild.
“Of course, I thought, it’s the best league in the world. The coaching teams and the medical staff will also be perfect. But unfortunately that was not the case,” Zipser continued.
The German international, who has been without a contract with the Bulls for two years and is currently a club member, complained of pain in his left foot during last season. Only after the season had an examination in Germany diagnosed a fatigue fracture.
MRI images had been taken in Chicago, but the doctors had not detected a break. “I had to decide for myself: I now trust my body more than anybody who has studied but doesn’t know me as I know myself,” the forward said.
The Heidelberg native, who is undergoing rehabilitation in his home town, further explained that he only wanted to rejoin a club after his complete recovery.
“Then we’ll tell all the teams that were interested that I was ready. My goal is quite clear: to return to the NBA,” said Zipser.
