NFL: Cruciate ligament rupture! Season out for Texans Star

The Houston Texans have to do without their wide receiver Will Fuller for the rest of the season. As the Friday franchise confirmed, Fuller suffered a cruciate ligament rupture at the 42-23 victory of the Texans over the Miami Dolphins.

Fuller suffered a severe knee injury in the fourth quarter, but left the field on his own after a short treatment. Previously, the former 2016 first-round pick had captured five passes for 124 yards and also scored a 73-yard touchdown.

The Texans lose one of the best Deep Threats in the league due to Fuller’s injury. Fuller caught 32 passes for 503 yards and 4 touchdowns in the first eight games and was well on his way to finishing his best season since the draft of 2016 for the Texans.

With their victory over Miami, Houston defended their lead in the AFC South (5-3) and, despite a failed start to the season (three successive defeats), have every reason to hope for a place in the play-offs. Beside Fuller also star receiver DeAndre Hopkins caused a sensation in the game against the Dolphins with an unbelievable one-hand-catch.

In week 9, the Texans face a tough away game when they meet the Denver Broncos in Mile High Stadium.
