NHL: Booths of Kühnhackl and Draisaitl
Two-time Stanley Cup winner Tom Kühnhackl has scored his first goal of the season in the NHL. The Landshut striker scored the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-3 final in his New York Islanders’ away game. Goalkeeper Thomas Greiss came on 20 minutes of ice time.
Kühnhackl’s national team colleague Leon Draisaitl was also successful in the final, but could not prevent his Edmonton Oilers from losing 4-3 to Minnesota Wild. The 23-year-old took the lead (9th) from the hosts and also provided the assistant to the interim 3:2 by Alex Chiasson (34th).
The Oilers, who gave Tobias Rieder (25) almost 14 minutes of ice time, took the lead once again with superstar Connor McDavid (25). But the guests always found an answer, Mikael Granlund (55th) marked the winning goal in the final third.
For Draisaitl it was already the seventh goal of the season in the eleventh game, the template was his sixth assistant.
