NBA: Cavaliers must do without Hill – Sexton moves into Starting Five
The weakly started Cleveland Cavaliers have to give up George Hill for two weeks. Point guard sprained his right shoulder.
This is reported by insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Besides Hill, the Cavaliers, who only won one of the first eleven games, also lack Kevin Love.
In the current season, Hill is hitting 11.5 points with strong odds from the field (55.6 percent) and from the three-way line (48 percent). Due to Hill’s injury, rookie Collin Sexton will move into the starting line-up of the Cavaliers.
According to a report by Joe Vardon of The Athletic, some vets of the Cavs probably think that Sexton “doesn’t know how to play”. He now has the opportunity to convince his internal critics with increased playing time. As Sexton told CBS Sports, he has a good relationship with Hill: “I know I can always go to him. He’ll help me. It’s good for a young player to be able to orientate yourself on a veteran.”
