NBA: Wolves probably agree Butler-Trade to the 76ers
The Minnesota Timberwolves have apparently agreed to a trade from Jimmy Butler to the Philadelphia 76ers. This was reported by ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday evening.
According to ESPN, the All-Star and the Sixers agreed on a long-term follow-up contract. Butler can withdraw from his contract at the end of the current season.
In return, the Wolves will receive a package consisting of Robert Covington, Dario Saric, Jerryd Bayless and a two-round pick in 2020. Justin Patton will also be traded from Minnesota to Philadelphia.
The 29-year-old butler would have become a free agent next summer. In the 76’s, Butler would form the Big Three in Philadelphia along with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. This season, the 29-year-old has so far played 21.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists. The Wolves, however, have only won four of their previous 13 games.
Also Philly (8-5) could not convince in this season yet completely.
