NFL: Rams: Cruciate ligament rupture! Season out for Kupp
The Los Angeles Rams and Cooper Kupp apparently proved the worst fears to be true: According to reports, the investigation has confirmed that the Wide Receiver has torn a cruciate ligament in the game against the Seattle Seahawks.
“I don’t think there’s anything good coming out of that,” Rams coach Sean McVay had already announced after the game with a view to further investigation. According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, there is now certainty that the season is over for Cooper Kupp.
Kupp had injured his knee in the game against the Seahawks in the final quarter without any opponent action and went down during a route. Already a few weeks ago Kupp had injured his knee during a Horse Collar Tackle.
It’s a big blow to the rams. On the one hand Cupp is the Big Slot Receiver, which has an extremely good connection to quarterback Jared Goff. On the other hand, no team plays as many 3-Wide-Receiver-Sets as Los Angeles, McVay will have to think about alternatives now. KhaDarel Hodge and Josh Reynolds would be available as possible options.
