NBA: All-Star-Trade? Wizards apparently ready to talk
After the catastrophic start to the season, the Washington Wizards have apparently signaled that all-stars John Wall and Bradley Beal are also up for discussion in negotiations about possible trades. This is what ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
So far, the Wizards had rejected any talks about a trade between the two guards and tried to form a working team with Wall and Beal at the top.
After the messed up start of the season with 11 defeats from 16 games and the poor performances of the actual trade candidates Otto Porter and Kelly Oubre, however, the responsible persons now apparently distance themselves from this plan.
Wall, Beal and Porter will receive almost 93 million dollars in the coming season, when the Supermax extension for the Point Guard comes into effect, making up about 85 percent of the salary cap.
This is another reason why a trade by the two All-Stars no longer seems unlikely, although Beal is probably the most likely trade candidate due to his lighter contractual situation and the fact that he is three years younger than Wall.
