NBA: Several teams probably interested in Trevor Ariza
Trevor Ariza signed a contract with the Phoenix Suns this summer, but could soon leave the team again. According to media reports, the forward could soon land in the trade market again.
This is what Marc Stein from ESPN reports. Ariza can be traded again from December 15th, which applies to all players who signed a new contract this summer. But Ariza also earns 15 million dollars, so according to Stein some teams hope that Phoenix and the Swingman can agree on a buyout.
Ariza has not been able to contribute much to the Suns so far. The Small Forward hits just 10.0 points per game and hits just 37.2 percent of its rolls, a career low. From a distance, the figure is 35.8 percent with 5.6 attempts per game.
It will be interesting to see whether Phoenix would be willing to accept longer contracts, for example to dust off a first-round pick. Stein brought the New Orleans Pelicans into play, which in return could send Solomon Hill (another 2 years, 25 million) back into the desert.
