NFL: After Bills Discharge: Kansas City Chiefs Hire Kelvin Benjamin
Only a few days after the Buffalo Bills Wide Receiver Kelvin Benjamin has fired, the 27-year-old has found a new team. After a trial training with the Kansas City Chiefs he will sign a one-year contract with the franchise.
Various US-American media unanimously report this. Benjamin had disappointed for most of this season. In twelve games, the video out came to just 354 receiving yards and a touchdown. In addition, Benjamin had previously caused negative headlines due to weight problems and alleged lack of training eagerness.
Benjamin had only been traded by the Carolina Panthers to the Bills last year. Buffalo gave a third and a seventh round pick back then. Benjamin’s contract would have expired at the end of the season. He had his best season so far in his rookie year when he was one of the league’s most promising talents with 1008 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
Benjamin had been released along with Andre Holmes. Holmes has already been hired by the Denver Broncos.
