Draft picks delight DEB leadership

With Tim Stützle and Lukas Reichel, two Germans have been selected in the first draft round. The DEB management is satisfied with the results.
The leadership of the German Ice Hockey Federation (DEB) is highly satisfied with the performance of the German players after the NHL draft.
While Tim Stützle (Adler Mannheim) was selected by the Ottawa Senators in third place, the Chicago Blackhawks Lukas Reichel (Eisbären Berlin) moved up to number 17. Two German draft picks in the first round had never been seen before.
“This is a high commendation, not only for the players, but also for the hard and effective youth work in our sport in Germany,” said DEB President Franz Reindl.
National coach Toni Söderholm added: “They are now one step closer to the dream of the NHL. But this should motivate them in the future to work even harder and more purposefully”.
